The Hybrid Tahoe Adventure Begins

I picked up my 2008 Hybrid Tahoe on September 1, 2008. I selected this particular hybrid because I spend a lot of time driving and I like my SUV's with lots of horsepower. The selection of GM is primarily because I am a Subject Matter Expert to General Motors in a number of reliability and maintenance areas. I have a fascination, also being involved in the energy arena, with GM's unique approach to the need for hybrid and alternate energy vehicles. Once I reviewed the two-mode system, the components, and my feeling of confidence for the reliability of the design, to date, the selection was made without hesitation. In fact, I decided to purchase the 2008 model instead of waiting for the 2009. I do already have a 2007 Tahoe, so will be comparing the two.

In this blog, I will be tracking my experiences with the vehicle, good and bad, as well as some of my on the road adventures. For those who have followed my newsletters, articles and books, you know that I rarely have uneventful trips!
